An independent observer of the Bittensor network

We watch the network. We show our work.

TAO Observer is a learning-first publication about Bittensor and its dTAO markets. Our job is to help you understand how the network actually works, how it is progressing, and what the data does — and does not — say. If that helps you invest more wisely, good. That was never the point.

The publication

Four things we do

Dispatch

Explainers

Plain-language pieces on how emiss, alpha, pools, locks and registration actually behave.

Record

Ecosystem reports

Periodic, data-backed accounts of how the network is progressing — adoption, not hype.

Instrument

Observatory

A public, reproducible view of subnet data — with provenance and freshness stated on every figure.

Accountability

Method

Exactly how we source, verify and cite data — and what our own experiments got wrong.

Editorial policy

What we will not do

This publication is written for people who want to understand Bittensor. That stance has consequences, and we would rather state them than have you infer them:

  • We are observers. Our job is to watch the network, record what changed and when it changed, and publish it with the evidence attached — so that anyone looking at the same thing sees the same thing we saw.
  • No manufactured urgency. We are not a signal service, and we do not benefit from you acting quickly.
  • Show the working. If a claim rests on data, the data and the query that produced it are published alongside it.
  • Publish the failures. Our own experiments are documented including what went wrong — that is where the real lessons are.

Plainly

Nothing here is financial, legal or tax advice. We write about how the network works. What you do with that understanding is entirely yours.
